All Neighborhood Christian Center administrators, teachers, and caregivers are selected to serve as nurturing Christian role models. They are trained and certified as early childhood educators. Staff are required to meet and maintain all early childhood education courses as mandated by the state and NCC requirements. Our culturally diverse staff help create an enriching environment representing over 17 cultures.
In addition, many hold degrees including Associate of Arts, Bachelors, Masters, Doctorates, and other Professional Certifications. Our Staff are Health & Safety, CPR, and First Aid certified. They are required to keep credentials current including maintaining their California Child Development Permit. Our Program Directors work directly to mentor and guide all of our staff to achieve their personal caregiving, facilitating and teaching goals. This is an ongoing process as individuals and as Building teams.
Team-teaching provides great support and exposes children to a variety of teaching styles. NCC is blessed to have many teachers who have served for over ten years.
2016-2017 Executive Administration
Ms. Graciela Marques-Hahn
As an Executive Director and founding member of NCC, Ms. Graciela helped to open our childcare facility in 1981. Previously aspiring to be a biochemist, God had another plans. Her God-given vision has been the driving force behind the center for years, and her creativity and knowledge has helped us remain a leading preschool in the Silicon Valley for nearly 35 years. The green preschool campus (sustainable philosophy) and natural setting is the brainchild of Graciela who has been a relentless visionary. She attributes the success of NCC to God, passion, miraculous donations, and its wonderful staff and families.
Ms. Jessica Fraser
Program Director (Caterpillars, Roly Polies & Dragonflies)
Ms. Jessica has worked with NCC for over 10 years. She has a degree in Child Development & Adolescents as well as Nutrition Education. She holds a Child Development Permit and is a certified CLASS observer. Although very grateful for her education, she holds her experience with participating in children ministries in 10 countries with high regard. Its the experiences of playing with children here at NCC and around the world that fuel her passion for serving children. She is inspired by the staff at NCC each day for their service to God and the students day in and day out.
